Welcome to Bear Ventures, a Law
Enforcement professionally owned and operated business specializing in
professional training for both your Texas Concealed Handgun License and for
National Rifle Association safety training courses. Our Instructor is a police
veteran with over 20 years of experience.
The
philosophy and design of our “CHL” training course ensures your understanding of
Texas laws for carrying your handgun safely, self-defense and other applicable
laws while exceeding the state’s instructional requirements. Additionally, we
review the safest way for you to interact with others while carrying a handgun
and the importance of your decision for your safety. The instruction is designed
around Texas laws, case law and common sense. Our instruction is not designed to
simply teach you the state examination requirement; it is designed to offer your
insight and understanding of the law, including Self-Defense laws.
Our NRA safety training courses are; Basic Pistol course, Home Firearm Safety
course and “Refuse to be a Victim” course. The pistol training course is ideal
for the new or weak shooter, for those needing the basics in pistol shooting.
The home firearm safety course is to instruct on over-all firearm design,
loading & unloading as well as cleaning and safe storage. The refuse to be a
victim course is to give insight on not being a victim in your home, place of
work, place of education as well as being a victim of fraud.
We offer
Texas Concealed Handgun License training courses “CHL” and NRA safety courses
for the Allen, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Wylie, Sherman, Farmersville, Princeton,
Collin County and North Texas area.
Course schedules are set to accommodate your busy schedule.
All
of our instruction is completed at Cabela's or TopGolf; both locations are in
Allen, Texas. These facilities offer spacious instructional settings and
amenities. Our qualifying indoor range is located in Sherman, TX so the “Texas
weather” is not a factor. Additionally, we offer group training classes for
groups who desire a private training experience.
We offer
semi-automatic pistol rentals and quality ammunition (in standard calibers).
Additionally, we offer Winchester brand ear & eye protection in a bundle package
at special pricing. All items are listed within the shopping cart and can be
added to training classes during registration.
